Why Binh Duong

Strategic Location
  • Binh Duong is a province in the Southeast region, located in the Southern key economic region;
  • The East borders Dong Nai province, the North borders Binh Phuoc province, the West borders Tay Ninh province and part of Ho Chi Minh City, the South borders Ho Chi Minh City and part of Dong Nai province;
  • 30 – 40km to international airports and seaports; 30km to downtown HCMC;
  • Continuous investment in future-oriented infrastructure for transformational growth.
Temperate Climate
  • A tropical monsoon climate, divided into two distinct dry and wet seasons;
  • The rainy season usually starts in May and lasts until late October. In the early months of the rainy season, there are regular short but heavy showers, while July, August, and September usually have continuous rain, sometimes lasting for 1–2 days. Bình Dương seldom experiences typhoons and is only otherwise affected by local storms;
  • The average annual temperature in Bình Dương is 26–27 °C, with the highest temperature recorded reaching 39.3 °C. In the dry season, the average annual humidity is between 76–80%, with the highest at 86% in September and the lowest at 66% in February;
  • The average rainfall each year is 1,800–2,000 mm.
Industrial Development
  • 30 industrial parks with total area up to 12,670.5 ha and average occupancy rate of 87.4%;
  • 12 industrial clusters have a scale of up to 790 ha, and the occupancy rate is also quite high at 67.4%;
  • By January 2022, the whole market of Binh Duong Industrial Park has 3,000 projects under investment. Of which, the number of foreign-invested projects is 2,333 with a total registered investment capital of 25.89 billion USD. The number of domestic investment projects is 667 with a total registered investment capital of 78,513 billion VND.
Transportation
  • In the road system, Highway 13 originates from Ho Chi Minh City, running the whole length of the province from the south to the north;
  • Highway 14, from Tay Ninh through Dau Tieng to Chon Thanh, Dong Xoai and Bu Dang (Binh Phuoc province) throughout the vast Central Highlands;
  • There is also inter-provincial road 1A from Thu Dau Mot to Phuoc Long (Binh Phuoc); Inter-provincial road 13 from Chon Thanh to Dong Phu and Dau Tieng; Inter-provincial highway 16 from Tan Uyen to Phuoc Vinh; Highway 14 from Ben Cat to Dau Tieng … and a system of roads connecting towns with towns and residential areas in the province;
  • Regarding waterway transport system, Binh Duong is located between 3 large rivers, especially the Saigon River. Binh Duong can connect with major ports in the south and exchange goods with provinces in the Mekong Delta.
Economic Development
  • The economy maintained a high growth rate, averaging 9.3%/year;
  • The budget revenue increased 11.2%/year;
  • Industrial production index IIP increased by 9.64%/year.
